Ideal for soundbars, subwoofers, and various A/V components, Forest Optical uses polished, low-dispersion, high-purity fiber to reduce timing errors, enhance bandwidth, and maximize performance.
Low-Dispersion High-Purity Fiber Conductor
In optical fiber transmission, dispersed light does make it through the Toslink cable, but often after taking a longer path—similar to a pool ball bouncing off the rails—causing a delayed arrival. This delay prevents the decoding system from properly interpreting the information, resulting in reduced bandwidth. Simply put, the lower the dispersion in the fiber, the lower the distortion in the final analog audio signal.
