Solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) Conductors
LGC provides smoother, clearer sound than standard OFHC copper by reducing distortion from strand interaction. The conductor’s surface quality is vital for guiding both electric and magnetic fields, with fewer oxides, impurities, and grain boundaries for superior performance.

Direction-Controlled Conductors
All drawn metal strands have a directional grain structure, affecting RF impedance. AudioQuest controls this directionality to drain noise away from areas where it could cause distortion. Conductors are marked with arrows to indicate optimal direction, enhancing overall performance by minimizing noise interference.

Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation
While achieving 100% shield coverage is easy, preventing RFI from distorting the ground reference requires AQ’s Noise-Dissipation technology. This approach absorbs and reflects most RFI before it reaches the shield layer, maintaining the integrity of the signal.

Hard-Cell Foam Insulation
Hard-Cell Foam Insulation, nitrogen-injected to create air pockets, minimizes energy absorption and release, reducing distortion. The rigid structure also preserves signal geometry and maintains stable impedance along the cable’s length, further minimizing distortion.

Double-Balanced Geometry
Designed for single-ended applications, Double-Balanced Geometry provides lower impedance on the ground for richer sound. By separating the ground and shield paths, this design offers cleaner, quieter performance.

Cold-Welded, Gold-Plated Terminations
This high-pressure, solder-free process minimizes distortion. Stamped ground shells allow the use of metals chosen for low distortion rather than machinability, further enhancing audio performance.
